Atlantis Aquarium Madrid Xanadú

November 1st, 2018
The Atlantis Aquarium opened in November 2018 in Madrid Xanadú, covering a 50000 m² area inside the largest shopping and leisure center of Spain. Yet it is a place focused on education and environmental awareness, far beyond entertainment alone.
For this space we have created a videoprojected aquarium floor, in which flocks of "Caesio Cuning" fishes, a Bonnet Head shark and a family of Cownose Rays interact with visitors.

Les boîtes CAPC is an educational digital tool set for contemporary art. This innovative object is the fruit of two years collaborative work between the Museum of Contemporary Art in Bordeaux (CAPC) and three complementary studios; 2Roqs (interaction design), Kubik (graphic design) and Zamak (design).
 

Bordeaux Cité du Vin

Back in may 2015, we were awarded a contract for producing "lot 6 " for the Cité du Vin in Bordeaux. While our group mates from Grand Angle Production + Moving Stars handled all the videos in the project, we were responsible for developing as many as 35 interactive applications of the Permanent Tour exhibition, upon a design by London-based agency Casson Mann.
 

Augmented Postcards at Cap Ferret's Lighthouse

The Lighthouse of Cap-Ferret showcases a permanent exhibition, in which we have been involved with our work around ancient photographs. Visitors are taken to a stroll inside three typical sceneries back in the early 1900's.

To magnify the oenological thrills offered to its private visitors, Cordier Mestrezat has commissioned us to develop a surprising, innovative application that exploits the augmented reality technology to showcase prestigious collections of Bordeaux wines.
 

Entering postcards in 3D

A gallery of ancient postcards in which one can "enter": this can been experienced at the new Tourist Office of Grand Villeneuvois. Three emblematic locations animated in 3D for an immersive travel back to the 1900's.
 

Osez Bordeaux | Animation live

During a special event to which 500 influential companies' representatives attended, Bordeaux's mayor M Alain Juppé unveiled the name of the territorial brand Osez Bordeaux.
Commissioned to the visuals on the wide screen behind the speaker, we developed an animation based on handwriting and light painting thematics, that was live controlled throughout the event.
 

The secrets of Bordeaux bridges

Facing the new bridge "Chaban-Delmas" in Bordeaux, an exhibition hosted by Cap Sciences presents the history and fabrication secrets of local and famous bridges.
In association with design studio Kubik, we developed a series of interactive screens, as well as an immersive application on a multitouch table.
 

Historical and interactive journey - Montmorin Castle

In collaboration with graphic studio Cosmo Sapiens, we created an application for a multi-touch table set in the Montmorin Castle. Visitors are proposed a journey inside the castle history thanks to a system of navigation palets.
 

A-Urba - 33rd national meeting of urban planning agencies

The theme chosen for this next meeting is "Encrypt and decrypt the cities". The event is organized by the Fnau and a-urba. We teamed up with the Bordeaux-based design agency Kubik in order to create a visual based on the interpretation of the geographic data of the 53 agencies.
 

The Douro region : two thousand years of history

The Espaço Porto Cruz has been inaugurated on June 21st, 2012, in the city of Porto. This museum aims in highlighting the culture of wine in the Douro region, in Portugal. Cirrus Productions has solicited us to animate a movie about the history of the Douro region out of photographic material.
 

Cultural and Tourist Center of Wine of Bordeaux : model and augmented reality

The Centre Culturel et Touristique du Vin de Bordeaux commissioned us to develop an holographic box to introduce the key features of their huge cultural center project. The object surprised the public when showcased on the CCTV stand at "Vinexpo Asia-Pacific 2012" (Hong Kong, May 29th 2012 ) and during the Fête du Vin de Bordeaux.
 

Dataviz: opportunities of data visualization

During the second edition of the Digital Week in Bordeaux, a series of interventions took place on Wednesday March 28th, at the CAPC (Museum of Contemporary Art of Bordeaux), concerning data visualization.
Students from the university of Bordeaux III were involved in the creation of the interface after a workshop with Julien.
 

Danone - Corporate affairs seminar

One hundred members from the international group Danone were present at the seminar Danone - Corporate Affair, from January 31st to February 2nd, 2012 at the Royal Hotel in Evian-Les-Bains (France), freshly coated with snow. The seminar was organized around workshops punctuated by moments in a convivial space animated by our RoqsTree installation.
 

La Cité de L'Océan et du Surf - Biarritz

Touch screens - Cap Sciences - Secrets de Ponts

We teamed up with graphic design agency Kubik on the development of three interactive touch screens and a multitouch table that will be installed at the exhibition "Secrets de Ponts", currently on display at Cap Sciences, (animation center and scientific exhibitions, technical and industrial) in Bordeaux (France).
 

MIM (Marey Interactive Multimedia) and Chronophotomaton - Etienne Jules Marey Museum - Beaune (France)

In response to the call for entries on "cultural and innovative digital services" of the Ministry of Culture and Communication, we worked in collaboration with the SLIDERS_lab laboratory (http://www.sliderslab.com) and EESI to create two original interactive installations for the museum Etienne Jules Marey in Beaune, in Bourgogne (France).
 

Géoluminescence - An interactive installation of lights created by Sophie Bruère

2Roqs was solicited to program and develop the software behind the interactive installation of lights called Géoluminescence created by Sophie Bruere, light visual artist. Installed in the internal courtyard of the building of the Bleecker Group society, George V avenue, in Paris, this installation of lights interacts with the day and night, seasons and the human presence.
 

Paris Motor Show 2010 : interactive floor Citroën C-Zero

Providing effective answers to current environmental challenges, the new Citroën C-Zero 100% electric was presented at the World Motor Show 2010, held in Paris from October 2nd to October 17th. We developed an interactive floor for the Citroën stand that presenting four graphic universes around the idea “Zero Carbon”.
 

Interactive pond - Pont de Vaux

The Tourist, Water and Nature Home opens its doors in Pont de Vaux, east France. On this occasion, the studio designed and built an interactive floor where visitors can interact with wild fish. The models of common fishes of the river Saône were conceived for the museum. A fun scenario allows children to capture the fishes with their feet in order to hear an audio commentary about each species.

3D Philips Senseo Marcel Wanders

For the launching of Philips's Senseo limited edition by designer Marcel Wanders, we made a 3D model of the two coffee machines that we animated in real time in a home-made software. During the show, the 3D was controlled by hand gestures by the designer himself.
 

Virtual Stage - Aquarium of La Rochelle

We were commissioned to develop an interactive application together with Blue Yetifor the Aquarium de La Rochelle. It shows a virtual pool on the surface of which visitors can walk and interact with various families of sharks and exotic fishes.

Two projectors and two infra-red cams were used to detect movement of people walking above the virtual water.

The application was installed in the corridor leading to the giant sharks' tank. It is part of a set of new features unveiled at the aquarium for its re-opening in the end of January 2009. The aquarium welcomes about one million visitors each year.
 

Nokia Trends Lab

We were involved in the creation of an interactive application for a Finnish phone manufacturer which is organizing a promotion tour across Europe this spring and summer. Their whole visuals being based on lavalamp-like shaded bubbles, our challenge was to program a real-time animation based on the flowing of the stretched wax being periodically heated and cooled inside its container, in which would appear the images of people photographed during the events and transferred to a computer via bluetooth.

We teamed up with London-based studio Imperial Leisure who handled the artistic direction, as they had been commissioned for several printed or filmed visuals for the events .
We had the chance to fly to Lithuania to install the application at the Nokia Trend's Lab event held in Vilinus on June, 1st.

 

Barbican - Sound reactive image synthesis

This project is a joint venture between London-based studios Hudson-Powell / North and us. We developped a tool whose purpose was generating images for Barbican.
Based on Vision Factory, the software draws in real time complex tree structures which are real time audio controlled.
